Building a respectful society

This course introduces students to the five core British values: Democracy, Rule of Law, Individual Liberty, Mutual Respect, and Tolerance, with a focus on meeting Ofsted requirements

Students will learn why these values are foundational to becoming informed, engaged members of a diverse society and helps students understand how these principles contribute to a harmonious community.

Interactive elements test students’ grasp of these values and clarify misconceptions about what constitutes British values.

Students will also be signposted to support and resources from the university to promote a culture of inclusion and mutual respect.
