Loneliness is more common than many students think. This course helps students recognise the signs, challenge stigma, and take meaningful steps to build connection and confidence.
University can be a time of connection – but it can also feel isolating. This course helps students understand what loneliness really is, how it differs from solitude, and how it can impact mental health, academic performance, and overall wellbeing.
“To engage students at scale, I couldn’t recommend GoodCourse more.” – Kimberly Thornton, Assistant Vice Provost for Campus Life, Texas Tech University
Students will learn to identify signs of loneliness in themselves and others, challenge common stigmas, and develop simple strategies for building meaningful relationships.
With a focus on self-compassion and resilience, the course also highlights the value of using campus and digital resources to stay supported and connected.
